October 16, 2006: The engine 0.4.0T 4 SLM of the Tramways du Mont-Blanc (TMB) joined the collection of the MTVS.

A convention was signed between the Companie du Mont-Blanc and the MTVS for the development and the presentation of the engine 0.4.0T N°4 built by SLM, to Winterthur (Swiss), in 1909. The company had ordered 5 engines for an steam exploitation which was to be provisional but which lasted until 1957. In 1927, a sixth engine is bought in Martigny-Chatelard. After the electrification, in 1957, machines 2 to 4 are preserved. Nowadays, only the 4 is preserved. It is strongly damaged in the fire of the handing-over which sheltered it to St-Gervais.

The engine, disturbed to find itself on dish, runs off the line

In the future Museum, the machine will be presented on a section of railway tilted and equipped with a portion of toothed rack.
