March 18, 2009: End of the project of removal in Vexin
Since 1995, our association developed the project to be installed on the line of Chars - Magny-en-Vexin in the north of the department. The project included:
- a line of 12 km serving 4 stations
- a workshop of 700 m2
- a Museum of 1500 m2
- garages to shelter the collection
These installations would have made it possible the MTVS to present its collection under much better conditions than currently. At the beginning of 2008, we were to finalize the technical dossiers and the plans. A share of the financing was to be done in a Plan contract between the Department and the Region. The new teams elected into 2008 decided not to register the project in the new contract.
Without financing and agreement, there will not be again Musée of the Secondary Railroad. 13 years of energy and time spent by the voluntaries for nothing or almost…
